I have to say that I think this was the fastest year of my life. My little baby (and last baby) is now considered a toddler!...I'm going to go cry for a bit. Now I feel kind of bad because with Marli I had invitations, decorations, and a whole party ready probably a good month before her first birthday, but not so much this time. I didn't really think about it until after Christmas (which is only 4 days before her big day). Something I will have to work on in the future so that she feels like her b-day is special too. We did do a little something on her day. Marli really wanted to get her a balloon (which she was afraid of at first), and a little mini cake for after dinner. Then we had my family over for lunch and cake the weekend after. I know she could care less and won't remember, but at least we will have something to put in her baby book!
We love you little Syd so so much. Your smile is oh so contagious, and you do it so often. You very much complete our family.
